Vocational English
Working within an existing template, the challenge was to bring a more contemporary and engaging feel to the content and layouts across a three-level English language course for York Press.
Designed for professionals across business, healthcare, IT, agriculture and engineering, the course needed to work effectively across both international and Pan-Arab markets. With over a 100 pages of layouts, commissioning artwork and selecting photos the pages balance clarity, accessibility and practical learning.
The series combines a teaching methodology with cultural awareness and a comprehensive approach to language development. Writing and speaking tasks are presented in a clear structure, helping learners build practical communication for real-world situations. An integrated workbook section within each unit allows learners to move seamlessly from learning new language to its application.
The approach is bright, contemporary and accessible, using impactful photography and authentic workplace scenarios. Clear layouts, strong hierarchy and intuitive navigation make the books easy to use, while considered imagery creates a cohesive identity across all three levels and 5 vocations.
